The Backland Studio is one of the most successful U.K. character creation studios. Set up in 2004 by Ged and Kaely Backland it's characters can be seen across the globe on licensed products. We have a small studio based in Bronte country - not far from the moors above Haworth where Wuthering Heights was set. (Like Ged - Heathcliffe was a Scouser you know?)

We create then license out our own Intellectual property. So far we have done this very successfully with our GoochiCoo character brand (which is ten years old this year!) in which  babies full of Nappitude are the stars. We have also been very successful with our our rock chick brand Scarlett and Crimson (which is jointly owned by Coolabi PLC).
